Goodbye Summer Birds

It's getting late in the season.  All of my hummingbirds are going to migrate back to Mexico soon.  This summer I learned that hummingbirds are a lot more aggressive than one would imagine.  There was a male that patrolled our feeder all season. He would attack any of his hungry hummingbird contemporaries the second they perched on "his" feeder for a drink.  Oh, little birdy-helicopters.  I'm going to miss you guys.

  3. But, winter amigos will be stopping by soon. You can feed them winter food :) Spread peanut butter on a tp tube and roll in bird seed! yum yum! :)

  4. we would use a pine cone in girl scouts. They made us dip the cone in the jar and I'd get peanut butter all over my 10 year old knuckles. I hated it. So, I didn't sell any of their cookies to get them back. what a badass.

  5. LMAO! My mom was cookie mom when I was in girl scouts, so we had boxes and boxes of cookies at our house. Back then we would sell the actual cookies, you didn't have to wait 3 months to get them. And they were like $2.50 a box, now they are like what $5? And they tasted better back then. Wow... I sound old. But that was like 20 years ago that I was in girl scouts.

  7. are you for real? I think praying mantis are totally badass but if they sneak attack and murder my special helicopter friends I may hate to start putting them into tiny correctional facilities whenever I catch one.
