A New Photo of a Past Painting.

Hey, guys.  I posted this painting awhile ago but the new photograph looks so NICE that I thought I'd post it twice.  I'm so happy with my photographer, Alan Adams (In Oskaloosa, Iowa), I could dance.

  1. I love your paintings. There is so much rich intricate detail and the colors are vibrant and harmonious. I think your paintings would make great linoleum prints or wood block prints. On the on hand though, that would take away from all the color detail. Hmmm.

  2. I used to do woodblocks. I should give you one. And I totally agree with you, although I could do color blends and multiple plate prints I found that all the prep work was draining me creatively . I love prints and especially woodblocks. You should google Cannonball Press, they're out of NY and have amazing woodblock and lino cuts.

Ha. Now I kinda want to cut a block. Maybe I'll do a few.

  3. I remember slicing my thumb in high school carving linoleum because I didn't follow instructions. Ugh! Then I was afraid to say anything because she was still in the middle of her safety lecture when I cut my finger, and I'm bleeding all over the place! Oy vay, story of my life- getting hurt because I wasn't paying attention.

  4. That's so funny. I was playing with scissors during 5th grade sex ed. The teacher told me to cut it out (ha) because I'd hurt myself. Long story short, I hurt myself and spent the rest of the class bleeding all over the place...which is actually kind of appropriate seeing as it was a class about puberty.

    gross.
