"Gouache differs from watercolor in that the particles are larger, the ratio of pigment to water is much higher, and an additional, inert, white pigment such as chalk is also present. This makes gouache heavier and more opaque, with greater reflective qualities.[1]"
I love gouache. if you liked watercolor I'll bet you'll like gouache. add some accent to your drawings.
shit, I didn't even answer the question. I find gouache easy to work with...pretty versatile. you can make light washed, soft lines, hard lines, big bold color shapes, you can render with it. If gouache was a person I'd marry it.
when i tried art school over 25 years ago, i enjoyed painting with water colors...is gouache pretty easy to work with? I've never heard of it.
